Enter: Pyromancers
When it comes to raw power, Pyromancers reign supreme. A life dedicated to finding more and varied ways of inflicting pain on their enemies has boiled down the spellcasting of these wizards to one simple statement. Strike fast, be brutal.
Unlike the tricks employed by the other Arcane Disciplines, Pyromancers focus on dealing more damage and attempting to overcome their main hindrance, line of sight. As the game progresses and the average range of spells increases. While still being bound by line of sight, spells like “Dragon’s Maw” inflict an area of damage for the full range of the spell.
One of the Pyromancer’s special rules “Scared Skin” helps deal with Shrapnel Damage, allowing these wizards to be more reckless. It’s simple, a building in your way? Blow it to pieces!
Granted it’s not all damage to the enemy, the spell “Hot Feet” inflicts damage to the wizard that cast it, in exchange for added movement.
We will keep their fifth level spell “Eruption” under lock and key until the game's release. Just know like all level 5 spells, there's a reason you can only cast it once a game.
That’s all for this week, be on the lookout more articles and short fiction about Wizard Turf War up until the games release. Wizard Turf War releases May 2026.
